Hemp doesn't throw anything, that's why it's better to go back to cultivation. A fresh print book – Cannabis(sing) The future is green hemp (diarkos editions) written by Mario Catania explains how hemp is called vegetable pig because it can be used in all its parts.

Description

Seeds and oil are used to produce food; waste can be processed into high-quality paper, made from annual plants rather than trees that take a long time to grow back. It is an excellent material for green building, for its resistance and ability to regulate temperature and humidity, and can give rise to different types of biodegradable bioplastic. It can become a good green fuel and be used to produce resistant bioplastics to be used for car bodies, as Henry Ford had demonstrated with the creation of the Hemp Body car in 1941, made up of 80% hemp fiber and fueled by ethanol obtained from the same plant. But it can also be a fabric obtained from a cultivation less polluting than cotton, more resistant and with antibacterial and antifungal properties, and an excellent cosmetic product for body and hair care. Hemp waste, moreover, can be used to make materials for the construction of supercapacitors used in energy storage, materials with performances even superior to graphene. And it's good for the environment: even just growing in our fields, hemp is able to sequester from the atmosphere an amount of CO2 that is four times that of ordinary trees, and reclaims the land where it is grown, aerating it and absorbing pollutants. We've been advocating all this for a long time. But now there is a book that aims to shed even more light on the effectiveness of returning to grow hemp in Italy. It was written by Mario Catania, a journalist and expert on the subject. The title is Cannabis: The future is green hemp (Diarkos editions). The thesis of this modern compendium is to demonstrate that nothing is thrown away from hemp. There are those who say there are a thousand uses, those who say there are 25,000 and those who say there are more than 50,000. What is certain is that they are countless and that today, after years of ideological censorship of this plant, we are witnessing its rebirth in all sectors. Absolute protagonist of the circular economy, and also of the environmental one: because hemp is a strong ally in the fight against climate change: an almost inexhaustible resource, it could give a hand to replace oil derivatives and drastically reduce CO2 levels, marrying perfectly with the principles of circular economy - and not least for millions of patients suffering from the most diverse and often highly disabling diseases. In the essay Cannabis: The future is green hemp the three souls of this phenomenon are analyzed in depth: the recreational legalization, the future as an agro-industrial resource and the medical world, told in the light of the change taking place all over the world with references to the Italian and international situation, stories that will move you and interviews with the protagonists of this revolution at the global level. The preface is by Raphael Mechoulam, discoverer of Thc and internationally considered as the father of research on cannabis and cannabinoids.
