The original Blackberry was launched on the market in 2009 by the Dutch company Nirvana Seeds. It is a cross between a Black Domina cutting of the United States and Raspberry Cough (also from Nirvana Seeds). Blackberry can be defined a variety by connoisseurs thanks to its unique features although it is not a popular variety.

Blackberry is a well balanced hybrid, but the energetic and exciting effect is typical of a sativa. During the last weeks of flowering, Blackberry develops dark purple leaves and flowers. The taste is mostly sweet thanks to fruity notes but also has terrose and diesel shades.
